Battle Creek Canyon

A while ago Nick and I were driving home from Sunday dinner at my parents when I asked Nick not to make our normal turn, but to keep going so I could see where the road led. It seemed to just go straight up the mountain side. After a shorter distance than we expected we ended up in a popular canyon called Battle Creek. (It was thus named because it was the first spot the pioneers had an official with the Indians.) We looked around and decided we wanted to have a picnic up there and hike around, someday.

Just the other day Nick and I decided to have our little picnic. When we hiked the trails we saw we came across lots of fun things. This video wasn't intended to be posted anywhere, but it covers most of what we saw on our hike. I had a lot of fun, and I hope someday we have a giant picnic up there with all our friends and family! That would be awesome!
