I love the way our playroom functions for our toddlers right now. I just wanted to include some pictures so I could remember how it felt at this time in life. I love being with the boys while they happily play with the big Lego's or their cars and tractors. They love to pull all the beanies and hats out of the hat box just to put the same hat on every time. Zeke learned to clean up in this room, and he still loves to help me do it. Eli still needs a little help. (a lot). It does feel exhausting when the boys pull everything out of every box just because, but it does feel good when everything is put back together again. There is a box for balls, and a box for vehicles, a box for blankets and a box for hats, a special box for books, and two boxes for stuffed toys and hard toys. This makes for easy clean-up. And a happy playroom. And a happy, peaceful mommy.
Each week we picked a letter from the alphabet . I'd make the letter the night before and when the boys woke up we'd find all the hidden As or Bs or Cs and put them up on the playroom wall for the week. We'd then search for the letter in books, on the computer, and in the newspaper or magazines for the remainder of the week. Then we'd watch a YouTube video on the alphabet or specific letter. Both boys loved it and learned quickly, however we only got to D...
In this chair the boys would cuddle up on my lap and we'd read book after book. Zeke's favorite is That's Not my Train by Usborne. Eli's favorite book is Opposites by Sandra Boynton.
Just for fun~ :)
