SELECTION

There comes a point after a year in flight school when a potential active duty pilot selects the specific air frame he will finish his training in and fly throughout the rest of his military career. He can want a specific helicopter, but usually it's completely up to chance as to which frame he gets. The four options are the AH-67 Apache, (the ultimate weapon), the OH-58 Kiowa, (scouting/attack), UH-60 Blackhawk, (utility/transportation) and the CH-47 Chinook (transportation of troupes and equipment).

If you know Nick you'll know he wanted the war-machine Apache. When selection time came he was third in his class and there happened to be three Apaches offered. :) So after high hopes and prayers he got his beloved Apaches. :)

Before I was aware that we are not allowed to take pictures of these beautiful birds with our bird's eye view lenses... I did. I may have been kicked off the side of Hooper stag- field for these, but here is one.
