One Busy Weekend...

On Saturday...

Nick and I went to Costco right when they opened to pick out a beautiful, rustic picture of the Timpanogos Temple with,
"The Bastians

Mt. Timpanogos Temple"
painted on the upper-right hand side. While we were there they were having an amazing deal on Costco memberships for students, so we signed up.

Nick then had to rush to work and I had to rush to Kearns for a friend's baby shower.

I had to leave the shower early to get my sister-in-law, Amy, and to rush to get ingredients for deserts we were making the next day. (And of course on such a busy day a Wal-Mart Semi would tip over on the free-way and keep me between two exits for over an hour!)

Amy and I then rushed to Orem, where our (soon to be) cousin's bridal shower was.

As soon as we left Nick called, wondering where I was because we were planning on celebrating our anniversary when I got home! I dropped Amy off and came home to Nick who'd picked me up an amazing bouquet with all of my favorite flowers in it! He's so nice!

As soon as I'd put the flowers in a vase, we rushed out the door, again, for our anniversary dinner. We shared the 'dinner for two' meal at P.F. Changs and were both full before the main entrees were even brought to the tabel, so we ate desert and took the rest home. :)

On Sunday...

I woke up early to take a shower, and shared the one bathroom with Dani and Hannah while we all blow-dried our hair, put on make-up and made our finishing touches, then right before our ward started I remembered that I had not made deserts for Chad's farewell, which was later that day. I ran downstairs and amazingly found the the right amount of brownie mixes and made two cake pans of brownies.
Nick stayed home and took them out of the oven while I rushed to church to be with our 4 10-year-old boys and Nick joined us, later.
After teaching the lesson, we were almost late to my brother's farewell, but we arrived during the first hymn. Chad, my little brother, gave a wonderful talk! I was truly inspired! Of course, (again), when three times as many people are attending the meeting than normal, someone pulled the fire alarm just as the meeting was ending.
When church was over we rushed to my parent's to get all the refreshments out for the guests. Sadly, since Nick and I left the brownies in the car during church they cooked even more and were hard as a rock when we set them out! :S

Speaking of good sweets gone bad, Nick and I actually took a bite of the top of our wedding cake which is now, a year old! ;)

After most of the guests had left I got to hold Natalie's babies and and watch Davey and Amy's wedding video for the first time! It was wonderful!

Nick's Favorite Part...

To finish this busy day off, Nick got TAZED!!!! He absolutely loved it! It is kind of fun to tell people that he got tazed for his first anniversary. :)
