Nick and I had a stupendous 4th of July Holiday! Nick worked earlier in the day, but when he got off we headed over to Grandma Elaine's (Nick's mom's mom) to see the family and for an amazing late lunch. The dinners that Grandma Elaine and Grandpa Dale make are always SO good! It was fun to see the family, and even Nick's great grandparents were there! (Nick's mom's mom's parents are both alive and alert at 96!) Unfortunately, although I intended to, I didn't get any pictures of that gathering.
At about 6ish Nick and I headed over to Grandma Mackay's (My mom's side) and there we ate more delicious food, visited, sang the patriotic songs in the hymnal, watched a random and creepy episode of 'The Twilight Zone' series from the sixties, and then we watched fireworks.

Cousin Jeff was the fireworks guy this year!

Ah, fireworks. We didn't do one firework this year, although, we did buy some. Well I guess that is a little bit of a lie. Dave did shoot out those ones that have confetti and he did throw some snaps. Not only did he throw some, he placed some...under the toilet seat so when I sat down, they all popped. He and Chad DIED laughing and said they used to do it to your mom. Yay for holidays!!!
